C8 Corvette Borla Exhaust Systems
Borla S-Type and ATAK Cat-Back Exhausts for C8 Corvette
Choose a Borla cat-back exhaust for your C8 Corvette by model and factory exhaust configuration, then compare sound and finish. Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, Grand Sport and Grand Sport X applications have specific valve, outlet and hardware requirements. Getting those details right comes before choosing S-Type or ATAK.
S-Type offers the more restrained character within the matching families; ATAK is the more aggressive choice. Consider the sound you want for everyday driving as well as acceleration, then choose from the finishes available for the system that fits your Corvette.
Find Your C8 Application
- 2020–2026 Stingray with NPP: Choose the 140838 S-Type or 140839 ATAK family. These systems require factory NPP and retain the applicable AFM/DFM and NPP valve functions.
- 2020–2026 Stingray without NPP: Choose the 140840 S-Type or 140841 ATAK family. They retain the applicable AFM/DFM valves but do not add NPP dual-mode operation.
- 2024–2026 E-Ray: Use the six NPP variants in the 140838/140839 families, matched to the exact E-Ray product application.
- 2023–2026 Z06: ATAK 140957 is a separate 5.5L system with NPP valves and no DFM valves. It reuses the original valance-mounted exhaust tips.
- 2027 Grand Sport and Grand Sport X: The six NPP 140838/140839 variants fit the 6.7L LS6 applications with factory NPP and outboard outlets. They do not fit the factory center-exit option. Grand Sport is rear-wheel drive; Grand Sport X is electric all-wheel drive.
Choose the Sound, Then the Tip Finish
Within the applicable 140838–140841 families, the base part number identifies the sound and valve configuration, while the suffix identifies the finish. Choose bright chrome/polished, BC black chrome or CF carbon fiber with bright centers where available for your application. Check the complete part number rather than selecting from the tip image alone.
The Z06 140957 package is different: it uses the car’s original tips and does not include one of those replacement tip packages. The separate Z06 choice here is ATAK.
Plan Valve Recalibration with Installation
Valve-actuator recalibration is required after installation. Schedule it as part of the job rather than waiting for a warning light. NPP-equipped applications, non-NPP Stingray systems and the Z06 have different valve arrangements, so follow the instructions for the exact kit.
An NPP system is not a conversion kit for a non-NPP Stingray. Before ordering, confirm the model year, factory NPP equipment and outlet layout, particularly on Grand Sport and Grand Sport X.
