C6 Corvette Borla Exhaust Systems
Borla Exhaust Systems for C6 Corvette
Choose a Borla exhaust for your C6 Corvette by year and model first, then select the sound and system type. The early C6, later 6.2L cars and Z06/ZR1 use different applications, with axle-back systems, complete cat-backs and a separate X-pipe among the choices below.
The important distinction is what you want to replace. An axle-back changes the rear exhaust section; the complete cat-back choices include a merge X-pipe as well. Once the application is right, Touring, S-Type Classic, S-Type II and ATAK offer different sound characters, depending on your Corvette.
Find Your C6 Fitment Group
- 2005–2008: This group includes the 6.0L LS2 for 2005–2007 and the 6.2L LS3 for 2008. Rear-system choices are Touring 11814, S-Type Classic 11744, S-Type II 11815 and ATAK 11816.
- Later 6.2L cars: S-Type II 11811 and ATAK 11812 axle-backs cover their specified 2009–2013 applications. ATAK cat-back 140414 has a narrower 2009–2011 range. For a Grand Sport, confirm the exact system application with CCA before ordering.
- Z06 and ZR1: Shop the dedicated manual-transmission ATAK 11822 and S-Type II 11917 systems. Match the product’s year range to the 7.0L LS7 Z06 or supercharged 6.2L LS9 ZR1.
Choose Touring, S-Type or ATAK
Touring is the more restrained early-C6 option, while ATAK brings the more aggressive exhaust character. S-Type Classic and S-Type II are separate designs: II uses the newer anti-resonance muffler design, and original Classic is excluded from Borla’s general No Drone guarantee. Choose from the sound families available for your application rather than assuming every C6 has all four options.
Axle-Back or X-Pipe-Inclusive Cat-Back
For the early C6, S-Type II 140452 and ATAK 140453 include the merge X-pipe. The corresponding 11815 and 11816 rear systems do not. Borla 60089 is the separate X-pipe and mid-pipe option for its specified 2005–2008 applications.
On later 6.2L cars, 140414 combines the ATAK rear system with a merge X-pipe, but stops at 2011. Its year range is not the same as the 11812 axle-back. Check the package contents before adding a separate X-pipe to your order.
Understand the Change to Factory NPP
These rear and cat-back systems do not include NPP valves. Where the chosen system fits an NPP-equipped car, it replaces the factory dual-mode operation rather than retaining selectable quiet and loud modes. Make that choice alongside the sound level.
