The Borla 140957 replaces everything behind the catalytic converters, so the change reaches further up the car than an axle-back does, and 3-inch piping carries the exhaust out with less restriction than the factory routing. What to Expect After Installation
Expect a louder, harder-edged tone than the factory system, with the NPP valves still opening and closing as they did before. There is no published decibel figure for this system and we do not estimate one. Two things are not finished when the exhaust is bolted up: the valve actuators have to be recalibrated, and the tips have to come from somewhere. Both are covered below.
Important Notes
- Tips are not in the box. 140957 ships without tips. You either reuse your factory tips or install the optional tip kit, part number 60740CFSB.
- 60740CFSB is currently listed as coming soon. If your plan is to finish the job with new tips, confirm availability before you order the exhaust.
- Valve actuator recalibration is required after installation. This is a requirement, not a suggestion, and recalibration is required after installation before the valves behave correctly. Plan for it as part of the install.
