Carbon Fiber Exhaust Tips for the C8 Corvette Stingray, AutoSpeed NPP Cat-Back (2020-2026)

Want the back of your C8 to match the carbon fiber on the rest of it? The AutoSpeed Performance Series Cat-Back Exhaust, ASP-EXH-CBK-GM-0001-CF, is a valved cat-back for the 2020-2026 C8 Corvette Stingray with the 6.2L LT2 engine. It runs on your factory valves, so your quiet and loud modes stay exactly where they are.

Out back, four 4.5 inch carbon fiber tips sit in the rear fascia, single wall stainless under a carbon fiber shroud with the AutoSpeed logo printed on the face. The whole system weighs 11.5 pounds less than the factory cat-back.

Product Details

  • Product: AutoSpeed Performance Series valved cat-back exhaust
  • Tip Finish: Carbon fiber shroud over stainless, printed AutoSpeed logos
  • Tips: Four, 4.5 inch outer diameter, single wall
  • Material: 304 stainless steel throughout, machined brushed finish
  • Tubing: 3 inch diameter, 0.065 inch wall, mandrel bent
  • Crossover: Cast 304 stainless X-pipe
  • Mufflers: 3 inch straight through, three chambers with the valves closed
  • Sound Valves: Billet 304 stainless housings with airfoil butterflies
  • Hangers: Billet stainless, TIG welded to the system
  • Clamps: Stainless Accuseal band clamps, T-bolt clamps at the tips

Benefits

  • 11.5 pounds lighter than the 77 pound factory Z51 cat-back it replaces.
  • Carbon fiber at the rear to match the aero and trim already on the car.
  • 22 more horsepower and 10 more lb-ft at the wheels, measured by AutoSpeed against your factory Z51 exhaust on 93 octane.
  • Your drive mode still runs the exhaust. Quiet in Tour, open in Track, nothing to switch.
  • Nothing is cut, drilled or welded. Your factory exhaust bolts right back on.

What to Expect

  • Carbon fiber tips 4.5 inches across, filling the rear fascia.
  • A louder, deeper note the moment the valves open, at cold start and under throttle.
  • Carbon fiber tips that look like they came with the car.
  • A highway volume you can enjoy, the valves closed and the exhaust running through three chambers before the tips.

Important Exhaust Notes

  • Your car supplies the valve actuators. The kit ships valve bodies without motors and reuses your factory AFM and NPP actuators. A Stingray without factory NPP cannot use this system.
  • No tune is required.
  • A valve relearn is required. Your AFM and NPP valves are relearned with an OBD scan tool, per GM Document ID #5406413. Skipping it can cause a check engine light and damage the valves. Any Chevrolet dealer can do it.
  • Professional installation recommended. About three hours on a lift, with the rear wheels, wheel liners, air deflectors and rear bumper fascia off.
  • The install guide gives a torque figure for every joint, 44 lb-in through 60 lb-ft, including 75 lb-in on each actuator bracket. Have a torque wrench ready for those figures.
  • Re-torque the tip clamps after the first heat cycle.

Why Buy from Custom Corvette Accessories

If your C8 already wears carbon fiber and the bright factory tips are the last thing out of place, the AutoSpeed ASP-EXH-CBK-GM-0001-CF is the carbon fiber tip version, built for the 6.2L LT2 with the factory NPP exhaust. Custom Corvette Accessories sells Corvette parts and nothing else, so if you are not certain your Stingray has NPP, ask us before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

This system is built for the 6.2L LT2, so it will not fit those cars. The Z06 runs the 5.5L LT6, and the ZR1 and ZR1X both run the twin-turbo 5.5L LT7. AutoSpeed builds a separate cat-back for the C8 Z06 if that is what you have.
This one is built for Stingrays that came with the factory NPP dual-mode exhaust. The valve bodies ship without motors and reuse the AFM and NPP actuators off your factory system, so your car needs to have them already. Check your build sheet, or ask us and we will look it up before you order.
Not if the valve relearn gets done. Once the system is on, your AFM and NPP valves are relearned with an OBD scan tool, per GM Document ID #5406413, and any Chevrolet dealer can do it if you do not have a scan tool. Skipping that step is what causes the light, and it can damage the valves.
No tune required. A cat-back replaces everything behind the catalytic converters and involves no ECU work at all. The one job left after installation is the valve relearn with an OBD scan tool, per GM Document ID #5406413.
The carbon shroud sits over a stainless tip, so the carbon is on the outside of the structure rather than carrying the exhaust. AutoSpeed gives no heat or durability rating for the finish, so we will not quote you one. Keep them clean the way you would any carbon panel on the car.
