Blacked Out C8 Corvette E-Ray Cat-Back Exhaust, Black Tips for NPP Cars (2024-2026)

Ready to black out the back of your E-Ray? The AutoSpeed Performance Series Cat-Back Exhaust, ASP-EXH-CBK-GM-0001-BK, is a valved cat-back for the 2024-2026 C8 Corvette E-Ray with the 6.2L LT2 engine. It runs on your factory valves, so your quiet and loud modes stay exactly where they are.

Out back, four 4.5 inch black chrome tips give your E-Ray the blacked out look, dark and aggressive against the rear fascia.

Product Details

  • Product: AutoSpeed Performance Series valved cat-back exhaust
  • Tip Finish: Black chrome, slanted dual wall, laser etched AutoSpeed logos
  • Tips: Four, 4.5 inch outer diameter, slanted dual wall
  • Material: 304 stainless steel throughout, machined brushed finish
  • Tubing: 3 inch diameter, 0.065 inch wall, mandrel bent
  • Crossover: Cast 304 stainless X-pipe
  • Mufflers: 3 inch straight through, three chambers with the valves closed
  • Sound Valves: Billet 304 stainless housings with airfoil butterflies
  • Hangers: Billet stainless, TIG welded to the system
  • Clamps: Stainless Accuseal band clamps, T-bolt clamps at the tips

Benefits

  • The blacked out rear, on a car that already wears more black trim than a Stingray.
  • The LT2 gets a voice while the front motor keeps doing its job.
  • 22 more horsepower and 10 more lb-ft at the wheels, measured by AutoSpeed against a factory Z51 exhaust on 93 octane.
  • 9.5 pounds lighter than the 77 pound factory cat-back it replaces.
  • Nothing is cut, drilled or welded. Your factory exhaust bolts right back on.

What to Expect

  • Black tips filling the rear fascia at 4.5 inches across.
  • A louder, deeper C8 exhaust note the moment the valves open, and the same silent pull away on the front motor.
  • No change to Stealth mode, the regen or the silent pull away from a stop.
  • A highway volume you can enjoy, the valves closed and the exhaust running through three chambers before the tips.

Important Exhaust Notes

  • Your car supplies the valve actuators. The kit ships valve bodies without motors and reuses your factory AFM and NPP actuators. An E-Ray without factory NPP cannot use this system.
  • No tune is required.
  • A valve relearn is required. Your AFM and NPP valves are relearned with an OBD scan tool, per GM Document ID #5406413. Skipping it can cause a check engine light and damage the valves. Any Chevrolet dealer can do it.
  • Professional installation recommended. About three hours on a lift, with the rear wheels, wheel liners, air deflectors and rear bumper fascia off.
  • The install guide gives a torque figure for every joint, 44 lb-in through 60 lb-ft, including 75 lb-in on each actuator bracket. Have a torque wrench ready for those figures.
  • Re-torque the tip clamps after the first heat cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. A cat-back replaces the exhaust behind the catalytic converters, and the E-Ray's front electric motor, battery and eAWD hardware are all forward of that. Stealth mode, the regen and the silent pull away from a stop all behave exactly as they did.
This one is built for E-Rays that came with the factory NPP dual-mode exhaust. The valve bodies ship without motors and reuse the AFM and NPP actuators off your factory system, so your car needs to have them already. Check your build sheet, or ask us and we will look it up before you order.
This system is built for the 6.2L LT2, so it will not fit those cars. The Z06 runs the 5.5L LT6, and the ZR1 and ZR1X both run the twin-turbo 5.5L LT7. AutoSpeed builds a separate cat-back for the C8 Z06 if that is what you have.
Not if the valve relearn gets done. Once the system is on, your AFM and NPP valves are relearned with an OBD scan tool, per GM Document ID #5406413, and any Chevrolet dealer can do it if you do not have a scan tool. Skipping that step is what causes the light, and it can damage the valves.
No tune required. A cat-back replaces everything behind the catalytic converters and involves no ECU work at all. The one job left after installation is the valve relearn with an OBD scan tool, per GM Document ID #5406413.
