- Factory transmissions: Coupe and convertible fitment includes the six-speed manual and four-speed automatic. The 1999–2000 fixed-roof coupe uses the six-speed manual.
- Application gap: Use 0.040 inch (1.02 mm) for the stock LS1. Measure every plug with a round-wire or pin gauge before installation; the supplied preset does not replace the required application setting. If adjustment is needed, move only the ground electrode; never pry against the fine center tip.
- Installation care: Use clean, dry threads without anti-seize and follow the vehicle’s specified tightening procedure. Protect the ceramic during handling and inspect the plug before fitting it.
- Modified engines: Added boost, increased compression or other internal changes require your engine builder to confirm the plug specification and gap.
