aFe CONTROL Pfadt Featherlight Single-Adjustable Coilovers for 1997–2004 C5 Corvette

The aFe CONTROL Pfadt Featherlight single-adjustable coilover system, part number 430-401001-N, is a complete street-and-track suspension conversion for the 1997–2004 C5 Corvette. It gives the driver control over ride height and damping while replacing the limitations of the original fixed shock and transverse-leaf-spring arrangement.

This system is intended for the C5 owner who wants a more tunable chassis for performance street driving, autocross or track use. Independent coil springs at each corner allow the suspension to be set up around the car’s stance, tire package and intended use, while the single-adjustable dampers make it possible to refine ride and response without disassembling the system.

Product Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 430-401001-N
  • Complete front and rear Featherlight coilover system
  • Single-adjustable damping
  • Adjustable ride height
  • Street-and-track suspension calibration
  • Independent coil spring arrangement at each corner
  • Application-specific C5 Corvette mounting components

Benefits

  • Allows ride height to be set for stance and performance goals
  • Provides damping adjustment for different roads, tires and events
  • Improves chassis control during braking, acceleration and cornering
  • Supports more detailed suspension setup than fixed dampers
  • Creates a true coilover layout for each wheel

Important Notes

  • Installation changes the Corvette from its factory transverse-leaf-spring layout to coil springs at each corner.
  • C5 Corvettes equipped with factory electronic damping require the appropriate electronic suspension bypass solution.
  • Professional installation, corner balancing and a four-wheel alignment are strongly recommended.
  • Ride height and damping should be adjusted in measured steps and verified for tire and chassis clearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

They fit 1997-2004 C5 Corvette Coupe, Convertible, Fixed Roof Coupe and Z06 models. Electronic-damping cars also require the appropriate bypass solution.
Yes. The Pfadt Featherlight system allows the C5 Corvette's ride height to be set during installation and setup.
Single-adjustable means the dampers provide one external damping adjustment for tuning ride and response.
Yes. The conversion uses independent coil springs at each corner instead of the factory transverse leaf springs.
The car should receive a four-wheel alignment, and corner balancing is strongly recommended after ride height is established.
