ACS Composite Rock Guards - C8 Corvette Z06 Mud Flaps
The ACS Composite Rock Guards are molded PC composite guards for the C8 Corvette Z06 from 2023, coupe and convertible, with the 5.5L LT6 V8. They clip to factory mounting points inside the wheel well and are cut for the widebody flares the car wears from the factory.
The Z06 was the first C8 to wear the wide arch, and it has had the longest time to prove what that costs in paint. A wider rear tire under a car driven hard picks up more of the road and throws it further forward, which is why the rocker behind it and the lower quarter above it are the two panels that age first. A track day makes it worse, because a hot surface gives up more grit. These guards stand between the tire and the panel. Mud flap is the usual word, and it is fair enough, except C8 Corvette Z06 mud flaps of this design sit inside the wheel opening rather than hanging below the body, so nothing about the car's shape changes.
