National Corvette Caravan
If you are only going to make the pilgrimage to your Corvette's birthplace, then make it August 28-31 in 2019. Often referred to as the largest moving automotive event in the world, the National Corvette Caravan is an experience that every Corvette enthusiast should experience at least once. This epic event only happens once every 5 year's, so mark your calendar now. Next years caravan should be pretty special as it also marks the 25th anniversary of the National Corvette Museum.
Next year's Caravan is being Chaired by Jeff Duda, a lifetime Member of the Corvette Museum and previous co-captain of the 2009 and 2014 New Jersey Caravan. If you would like to volunteer and participate in the planning and coordination from your state, you can contact Jeff at nationalchairman2019@verizon.net
I can tell you from personal experience (I graduated from Western Kentucky University) that the National Corvette Caravan is one of the most amazing events you will ever attend. For those of you that have not been to Bowling Green, its a Town (not a city) and when 3000+ Corvettes converge on the town, it is a sight to behold. Everywhere you look, left, right, ahead and behind, there are Corvettes. Old ones, new ones, stock one, modded ones. Every street corner, parking lot, hotel and restaurant, it's kind of like Corvette Heaven. On top of all that, you have all the organized events at the Museum. Take a tour of the plant, walk the museum, attend lectures meet your favorite personalities, vendors or take a drive on the track. No matter what your cup of tea is, it will be four days you will never forget.
