C5 Corvette SLP Cold Air Intake
There are two steps in boosting your C5 Corvette’s engine performance. First is ditching your factory air box with all its airflow restrictions and second is bolting on a new Street Legal Performance C5 Corvette SLP Blackwing Filter in its place. Since 1997, this industry leading brand has been making warhead filters that have been meeting and exceeding the highest quality standards of performance and reliability. All high performance filter technology is a product of their best engineering practices and the most advanced Computer Assisted Design (CAD) technology to deliver the best fit and performance upgrade.
The SLP Blackwing Intake for C5 Corvette models offer up to 90% more airflow than your stock set up which boosts your engine’s performance up to additional 18 horsepower straight out of the box. This performance intake is called “Blackwing” for its unique appearance and the massive air flow it feeds the engine. This C5 Corvette SLP Cold Air Intake kit uses a high-flow, conical shaped blue air filter that uses Synteq, a 100% synthetic air filter media with maximum filtration efficiency. Compared to regular cotton or oiled-cotton filter media, Synteq does a better job at trapping even the smallest particles while allowing more air to flow through. This induction system is built with an exclusive flow indicator that changes its color when the filter needs cleaning and re-oiling. SLP Part number 25017 air filter cleaning kit is recommended for cleaning/re-oiling Blackwing intake part number 21110L.
C5 Corvette SLP Blackwing Filter comes with the straight sleeve, clamp worm drive, filter blackwing hard top, and installation instructions. It allows for a direct bolt-on installation using common tools without any vehicle modifications required. It is designed to fit stock MAF sensor and Air-bridge.
